[Remind-Fans] GrowlNotify and Remind?

I have a bit of an embarrassed look on my face as I type this, because I'm sure it's been pretty well hashed-out already on the list.  But perhaps someone would be kind enough to walk me through the melding of Remind and GrowlNotify?  I've so far ignored timed reminders and merely had items appear on the desktop on a daily basis.  That's nice, but I have a feeling that having things work through GrowlNotify would be, as they say, schweet.
