I have a similar setup. I keep all of my "I want a message" reminders
in one file, and point the daemon at that file instead of ~/.reminders,
and then INCLUDE that file in ~/.reminders so those messages show up in
my calendar, etc. But because the daemon isn't looking at ~/.reminders,
I don't get messages for everything else.
