    REM Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri 4 MSG Payday

Weekdays are handled specially, they trigger on or after the
given day. So this triggers on the first of 4th, 5th, 6th, ...
which is a Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu or Fri.

The slides at [1] explain the basics of remind very well
(including your payday, slide 18).
