Thanks for the suggestion, Eben. I can do that to insert the special character into my .reminders file, but its multiple bytes get scrambled by remind and/or rem2html and appear in the calendar as something like '↳'.</div>

When you edit the file, type ctrl-shift-U 21b3 space and it'll enter ↳ as<br>
any other character.<br>
