Hmm not bad.  Accept I probably wouldn't remember to put the tag in.  
The quite messy idea I'm playing with in my head is:

1.) Put the reminders before the delimiter into a temp file.
2.) Run remind -p on the temp file.
3.) Do the remind2palm voodoo.
4.) re-write ~/.reminders to put the delimiter on top (what I do now).

Anyone else have a say on what they would prefer? 

The -p would be much easier to parse, especially since the date would
be in a common format.

And since I have your ear:  Is remind internationalized/localized? 
Or, more succintly -- does the date format of remind -p change based
on locale?
