[Remind-Fans] How do I change 'today' via the command line ?

Hi,

I looked at the man page and it suggested that I use something like :-

remind 12Dec2005

but remind gives me back
Can't access file: `12dec2005'.

If I do 
remind reminders 12dec2005

I get the --help text of remind.

I want to simulate being in next month, so I can print a calendar for
that month, before it starts.

Any help appreciated.
