TkRemind is (alas) not really designed to be themable.  You can try
hacking it by adding something like:

        Tkremind*background: #928374

in your ~/.Xdefaults file and then running:

        xrdb -merge ~/.Xdefaults

prior to starting TkRemind.  The result is very unsatisfactory, though.
