No, because you can't duplicate the running server's standard
input/output/error streams, so the new server won't be an exact
replacement.

My recommendation is to wrap Remind in a little script that kills of any
running Remind processes before starting a new one, and have i3 invoke
that script instead of invoking Remind directly.
