The only issue I found is:

echo "REM Jan 19 2026 *1 UNTIL [ max('2026-01-19', realtoday()) ] MSG Foo" | src/remind -
-stdin-(1): Missing ']'
No reminders.

The "Missing ']'" does not show up in Remind 04.03.07.
