[RP-PPPoE] Enforcing Maximum MTU on clients

Hi guys,

It seems that when clients connect to our PPPoE server they 
automatically negotiate the MTU size and the maximum seems to be 1492. 
If I clamp the MSS to something lower will that prevent the MTU on the 
PPP interface from going over whatever I set the MSS to?
On my pppoe.conf file the lines with CLAMPMSS are commented. Is the 
default 1492?
