The PPPoE plugin that ships with pppd *is* part of RP-PPPoE. The PPP
developers have forked it from an older version of RP-PPPoE, so it may
have bugs that are fixed in the latest RP-PPPoE. Conversely, the
RP-PPPoE version may have bugs that are not in the version that ships
with PPP because the PPP developers do not communicate their changes
back to me.
