[Remind-Fans] converting from unix calendar

I just installed remind and am looking at converting all my unix calendar
files to remind format. It seems to me someone else must have faced this task,
but a search through the mailing list archives turned up empty.

Am I missing something? Has any one written a script to make unix style
calendar files readable by remind, or to convert them to remind format?
