Sorry, I cannot reproduce the error. I am using the en_US.UTF-8 locale,
and I have successfully tested the program with a reminder containing
those characters.

I am not sure whether this is possible at all, taking into consideration
the overwhelming number of available editors. At best, it is possible
to open the appropriate reminder file (think `INCLUDE`), but not to
position the cursor on the correct line. Apart from that, this feature
would go beyond the scope of the program, which is basically intended as
a viewer only.

I don’t know what that would be. Running `remind -gaaad -p -s+6
~/.reminders 1 Jan 2011` on my machine yields output like this:

    # rem2ps begin
    January 2011 31 6 0
Sunday Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday
    December 31
    February 28
    2011/01/01 * * * * New Year’s Day
    2011/01/06 * * * * Epiphany
    2011/01/12 * * * 480 8:00am Timed Reminder
    2011/01/31 * * * * Another Reminder
    # rem2ps end

Does your’s look different?
