Indeed, because FRI 29 means "the first Friday on or after the 29th
of a month."

For the 5th Friday (only) you want:

REM Fri 29 SATISFY [$Td >= 29] MSG 5th Friday

If your Remind is too old to support $Td, you can use the equivalent:

REM Fri 29 SATISFY [day(trigdate()) >= 29] MSG 5th Friday
