[Remind-Fans] Problem with repeated reminders

Dear All

Several times during the day, I check my reminders issuing the command

remind /home/psmith/.reminders | more

Also, several times during the day I add some new reminders. However,
some of (time) reminders are shown several times, as if the same
reminder was issued several times. I had a look at the remind's
options and I found the option -q, which solves the problem of
repeated reminders, but the newly added reminders are not activated
when they should be. Any ideas?
