Dianne -
I won't have a chance to try this for a while but it sounds great. I wanted to say how wonderful it is when a developer develops new features that are actually useful :-)
Happy New Year!
- Robert

Subject: [Remind-Fans] Updated TkRemind to use inotify if availble

Hi, all,

I pushed a nice little feature onto
https://dianne.skoll.ca/projects/remind/git/Remind.git/

If the "inotifywait" program is available (meaning you're probably on Linux),
TkRemind will use it to monitor ~/.reminders and will react very quickly
to changes in the file/directory. This lets TkRemind keep up to date
with the contents even if they are changed by an outside actor.

On Debian, inotifywait is found in the inotify-tools package; looks like
it's also called inotify-tools on RPM-based distros.

Anyway... please give it a try and offer feedback if so inclined.

Regards,

Dianne.
