[RP-PPPoE] PPP complains about modem hang-up when invoked from pppoe-server

Trying kernel-mode pppoe, I get this:

LEDE pppoe-server[3271]: Session 1 created for client 7c:d3:0a:15:22:49 
(192.168.170.100) on eth1 using Service-Name 'myservice'

LEDE pppoe-server[3266]: Session 1 closed for client 7c:d3:0a:15:22:49 
(192.168.170.100) on eth1

Do you know if this is some known issue? I'm running it with 
pppoe-server -k ...
